The Best Summer to Fall Drink is Thai Iced Tea! It’s a gorgeous orange color and packed with lots of flavor!
If you’ve been reading this blog for long enough then you know I live for fall! Like live for fall! Is it the recipes and coziness of it all? Probably. But more likely it is the promise of cooler temperatures. Here in Austin summer can last well into October and sometimes even November but still every year when September rolls around I can’t help but get excited! Since it is always still so hot here, I want to love cozy hot drinks but I just can’t do it when it is still 100 degrees outside. So this is my perfect go-to in between drink!

The Best Summer to Fall Drink Thai Iced Tea
I discovered Thai Ice Tea sometime during college and I’ve loved it ever since! Thai Iced Tea is brewed with an abundance of black tea leaves and usually mixed with some kind of sweetener. I always thought there was some secret to the crazy orange color and I finally figured out that it was really quite simple!
The answer is Pantai Tea Leaves! Yup. There was no special homemade blend, just this brand of tea leaves. After visiting Thailand, I realized this blend is often what they use there as well. Thai tea is an over steeped tea giving it a bold color and flavor in addition to a kick of caffeine. Poured over ice, it’s the perfect drink during a hot afternoon!
Thai Tea has a bold and unique flavor which I love. It is sweetened with sweetened condensed milk in the most traditional recipes, which is what I use here, but you can often find it sweetened with milk, cream, coconut milk and different types of sugar and sugar substitutes.
If I am being 100% honest, I don’t always love Pumpkin Spice drinks. There I said it. Often times I find them to have a weird after taste. So if I choose to have something Pumpkin Spice, I prefer to make it at home. That is also why I love Thai Tea as fall-ish drink! It’s somewhere between a Pumpkin Spice and Chai Tea in flavor and it gets me excited for fall without getting too hot, haha!
You can enjoy Thai Tea hot although I’ve almost always seen it served chilled. Totally up to you though!
