Recently I participated in a food swap with Austin and Boston food bloggers. It is such a fun idea! Each blogger is paired with a blogger from the other city and send local food items to each other.
This is the basket full of goodies I sent off to my partners in Boston. There was a $30 price limit plus shipping. I used a “if it fits, it ships” box from the post office. I wanted to share with all of you because I think these would be great holiday gifts for your family and friends from out of town! What a fun and tasty way to share a little bit of Austin with your loved ones. There are so many great, local food companies to choose from! My partners are vegetarian and I wanted to be sure I sent items that wouldn’t spoil or get ruined in during their journey, so those were my parameters.
My goodie basket items:
TexaFrance Bluebonnet Honey Mustard
Stubb’s Original BBQ Sauce
It’s vegetarian and gluten free! Perfect for BBQ tofu tacos or over eggs!
Austin Nuts Sweet Wasabi Mix and Texas BBQ Peanuts
Sweet Leaf Tea
Wouldn’t be Texas without Sweet Tea!
Central Market Hatch Chile Green Salsa
Praline Pecans from HEB bulk section
I can’t eat enough of those. Soo good!
I think these are great ideas to use for holiday hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, and secret Santa!
What are some of your favorite local foodie gifts?

This is a great idea of sharing a gift basket with our working partners or with other relatives. Good food is the only thing which makes everyone happy and can be a good gift. Thanks for sharing this article.
