Have you tried out Lenoir yet? If you haven’t, you should. Real soon. Lenoir serves up a prix-fixe menu, very similar to restaurant week style. The menu changes frequently, so check back often. Our group had four people, which turned out to be perfect because we were able to try everything on
the menu! Except the caviar, there were some anti-caviar people in the group, so I took one for the team. There were four courses each with three selections. Each guest chooses three courses. Additional courses are $10 each.
Everything was simply divine!
quinoa carbonara / summer squash / smoked eggplant / basil
Doesn’t really look like what you thought, huh? It was delicious though!
cucumber & tomato salad / sorrel / goat feta / coconut flatbread
sweet potato salad / kale chips / mojo de ajo / chive yogurt / toasted pistachios
poha-crusted fish / butternut curry / pomegranate / corn
I normally wouldn’t have ordered fish. However, the hostess informed us that anytime the chef does a curry, you should definitely order it. She was right!
toasted shrimp ravioli / okra / shishito peppers / tasso sauce
spiced pork soup / mung bean noodles / ham jam / eggplant / herbs
This dish reminded me a lot of pho.
roasted guinea hen / bastilla / black olive / meyer lemon aïoli / romaine
crispy rabbit terrine / sweet potatoes / arugula & pickled pear salad
The duck fat in this dish really added a ton of flavor. This was hands down my favorite of the evening.
melted texas raclette / spiced apple compote /
pumpkin seed rusk
We had coffees with our desserts, which was lovely.
pistachio custard / caramelized phyllo leaves / pomegranate / bay ice cream
chocolate brioche pudding / coconut sorbet / rum raisins / pecan crunch
Order this one for the coconut sorbet alone!
We also drank a lot of this:

The Pinot lead to a few pictures like this:
Except Caroline actually looks cute there.
Who can guess the caption for this one?
Thanks Lenoir for a lovely evening!

I just went to Lenoir the other day and I really enjoyed it as well. The meyer lemon aioli lives on in my mind.

Ooh, definitely putting them on my to-try list!
