I get lots of emails and messages asking about the best restaurants in Austin and where to eat when you have a big group or what are my favorite tacos in town and those are always my favorites to answer! While Austin might be a great city to eat and party in, there are plenty of us who are getting a lot of work done here too! And sometimes that means that your work group might be able to head out to brunch on a Tuesday or meetings might run late and you’re stuck at the office and can’t make it out to dinner. That’s why I partnered with Foodee to round up some of my favorite places to eat that will actually deliver their delicious meals straight to your office! They offer a range of concierge-like services to make ordering a breeze and even help out with last minute orders. I know this will be a dream for all my friends out there that are office managers and executive assistants. This way you can get a taste of Austin right at the office!
When You Wanna Keep It Fresh: Poke Poke
I love Poke Poke but if you can’t make it to their South Congress location, order it to the office! It’s light and they offer vegetarian options too. My favorite is their Shiso Salmon Poke! It’s filling but won’t put you into a food coma for those afternoon meetings.
When The Pizza Cravings Hit: Via 313
Sometimes you just want pizza, ok? But Austin has so much great pizza that it’d be a shame to just order from some national chain. Via 313 Detroit Style pizza is absolutely mouthwatering! Literally I am getting hungry just thinking about it! They offer personal pizzas and plenty of vegan and dairy-free options.
When You Want A Taste of The Big Easy: Walton’s
Walton’s is one of my favorite places to take lunch meetings. When you can’t sneak away from the office to their adorable shop, order in! I love their Gobble sandwich and smoked deviled eggs. Those Golden Eggs are NOT to be missed either!
Paperboy Breakfast
When You Need A Good Start To The Day: PaperBoy
Paperboy is one of my favorite food trucks in Austin! Their Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich and Cheddar Grits with Broccoli will have me out of bed early to go grab breakfast. I can’t imagine a better way to start a long day of meetings than with a spread from Paperboy!
When You Need The Best Sandwich: Lucky Puccia’s
I’ve been loving the sandwiches from Lucky Puccia’s since they were just a mere food truck downtown. Now they offer pizza and desserts from their brick and mortar restaurant. My stand-by is the Lucky Puccia on their super soft bread. The Hot Pastrami is also excellent.
When You All You Want Is Cheese: Henri’s
From lunch to afternoon snacks to dinner, I’m always ready for a great cheese plate! Henri’s restaurant was forced to close after a fire (I still cry a little about missing their burger) but their legacy lives on in the catering world, so lucky for you! They have single servings of their cheese plates and sandwiches or platter style so you can try a little of everything!
When You Can’t Get Out For Dinner: Chicon & Contigo
Contigo and Chicon are two restaurants that will truly give you a chef’s take on modern Texas fare! Contigo has one of my favorite patios in town and Chicon is just well, delicious. When you can make it out for a nice dinner, this will bring a Texas-style meal to you. You can get everything from hearty sandwiches to a whole suckling roast pig! You’ll need to order ahead for that one though!
When You Want All The Fries: Chi’lantro
Probably one of Austin’s most Instagrammed dishes: Kimchi Fries from Chi’lantro! Not only are they pretty to look at, they are pretty dang good! This Korean BBQ inspired joint is just what you need to lift everyone’s spirits. You can’t not have fun while eating these fries!
When You’ve Got a A Sweet Tooth: Dolce Neve
Don’t forget dessert! Austin finally has true Italian style gelato with flavors inspired by Texas! They have great dairy-free options too, so everyone can enjoy!
