Despite the blazing temperatures, I finally checked out Yellow Jacket Social Club. It has a nice big shady patio with long wooden picnic tables. It’s dog friendly too! In fact, Austin Pets Alive! was set up there with lots of furry friends on this particular Sunday morning. Between the shade and the misters, we actually didn’t get too terribly hot until about 1pm. I think this place will be stellar come cooler temperatures.
Located on the Eastside, I’m really diggin’ this spot and the colorful graffiti across the street.
Sunday morning, this sign really spoke to us.
So party we did! Sunday Funday y’all!
Baugette, soft butter, fruity jam…I’m in!
Deviled Eggs=Yes. They come in orders of three. Good flavor, not too mayonnaise-y. Not spicy.
This is what I really came for: The Mister. I’m on a mission to try out all the Croque Madams in town. I have a few more on my list to try, but I’m taking recommendations. I really liked this one. And so did everyone who ordered it. It’s quite heavy, but very delicious. Definitely split this, unless you’re planning to stuff yourself like a sumo wrestler. Which I’ve done on many an occasion, no judgement here. The shrimp and grits also grabbed my attention and warrants a second trip.
Thank you Jesus for this wonderful brunch spot. I’ll be back soon!

Mulberry had an awesome Croque Monsieur the last time I went for brunch, heavenly even.
