It’s only the best brunch you forgot about in Austin! This little Italian corner spot is serving up $1 mimosas and bellinis for weekend brunch! Scuuurrrewhat? Yeah! And the food is excellent. They even got smart and closed off the patio and brought in an AC unit. Make the most of that space, love it! I ventured from usual fav, the Eggs Al Forno All ‘Olio Tartufato, to the chalkboard breakfast pizza special. Ahhhmmmaaazig! Perfect thin but not too crackery crust with poached eggs.
Steak and Eggs, classic all the way. The spinach was a nice touch.
Breakfast hash, perfect for the savory meat eater. Plenty to share!
Sweet Teeth (Tooths?) everywhere can rejoice with this Belgian waffles and berries! And yes, the whip cream was just screaming for someone to sneak a finger into!

Mmmm, I love Taverna! I’ve gotten the crab benedict twice now! My other favorites are Bouldin Creek Cafe and South Congress Cafe. I want to try Moonshine soon!
