As promised, I went back to Bangers and tried some food and snapped some better photos for you all.
This is a beer and sausage place, so please start off with an ice cold draft beer. They have over 100 beers on tap and even have gluten-free beers. My g-free friend tried a gluten-free beer… It was bright purple, super fruity and sweet. So just prepare yourself for that. They also have a small selection of vino if you’re into that. But no liquor, y’all. They also have non-alcoholic beer. So basically there’s something for everyone!
I chatted with the manager, Nivel, a cute fellow, with a to-die-for accent. He says Bangers aims to be the most dog friendly bar in Austin. There’s a large fenced in area where the pups can run around leash free while the grown ups indulge.
I am proud to report that dogs large and small can get along in the leash-free area. It is also equipped with a water cooler and bowls for the four-legged patrons. You can purchase homemade dog treats, however they were out the night I
went.
I got the light beer flight again… It’s just so good!
Mimi loves to party so she’s happy there’s a new dog-friendly bar in town!
Now it’s food time! That’s the spicy corn… A must try! And obvi a braut. They were unfortunately out of the duck and fig braut that night, apparently it’s pretty popular!
They also have vegetarian options and fruit plates, which looked delicious. I spied some chili cheese fries that looked tempting as well.
Bros feeding bros. It happens.
Oh! Mimi wants in on the food tasting action! I probably should have warned you this post was going to be a photo opp for my dog.
And then Nivel brought us koozies for our glasses and my night was complete!
The service was slow but the staff were very friendly. You can tell it was getting
dark by the time my feast arrived. I got a jalapeño braut on pretzel bread which was delish! I didn’t love their sauerkraut though. The servers even offered to let us split the check which was nice. Its all community-style tables outside, so great place to have come and go gatherings.

OMG I need to go here. Why do I live so far away?!
