Oh hello there friends!
Did you have a wonderful holiday? I hope so! I’ve been busy traveling, brainstorming and generally gearing up for the new year. 2012 really ended with a bang for me and I’m hopeful that 2013 will bring about lots of refreshing change. I wanted to share with you all about a few fun things I’ve been doing and working on. Just reflecting and appreciating all the little things. I definitely want to hear what you are looking forward to this year!
First and foremost, over the holidays I was super busy whipping up jars of fresh pesto to sell to friends and family. With the encouragement of a few friends, it was a great success! I’m thinking about taking another round of orders soon, does this interest anyone?
We enjoyed a white Christmas back home!
Then I was off to the west coast where I saw not one, but TWO double rainbows! I think that’s a very good omen!
I spent last Sunday driving up Highway 1 along the California coast. Omg… How gorgeous! If you ever get the chance to make this drive, you should definitely do it. It’s very wind-y but the views are breathtaking.
I enjoyed a delicious lunch at the cutest place ever, Presidio Social Club . This gem is nestled in the Presidio of San Francisco, which is basically a gorgeous national park in the middle of the city. George Lucas also has his studios in Presidio. Stop by if you’re ever in the city.
I recommend the Chicken and Arugula Salad. The avocado vinaigrette was amazing, I’m considering recreating this!
I gobbled up the Chicken Sandwich. The jalapeƱo aioli is delightfully spicy.
I rang in the New Year with my favorite guy.
I loved rocking this brass knuckle clutch with my sparkly New Year’s dress!
I snapped this blurry picture of the gorgeous sunset as I sat in traffic on my return trip to Austin yesterday. Love those Texas sunsets.
After years of staring at this blank wall, I finally decided to try my hand at a little wall art.
My dear friend Claire is constantly inspiring me. I finally decided to try my hand at her DIY Picture Frame Gallery .
It’s still needs a few more personal touches, but I was so excited to hang these frames that I lifted off my grandmothers. My grandparents are slowly becoming my own personal Vintage store haha. I’m hoping to enhance and grow my personal style this year, and this wall was just the beginning!
And I was excited to be back at home snuggling my little love bug Mimi.
What are you hoping this year brings? What challenges and intentions are you setting for yourself this year?

Happy New Year!
