I am always on the hunt for recipes that make eating vegetable delicious and let them really shine. That’s why I love this Crispy, Garlicky Green Beans recipe! With Thanksgiving around the corner, there’s no doubt there will be many a green bean casserole on tables everywhere but I like to give this good ol’ bean a fresher spin.
This recipe is perfect for holidays and get togethers like Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving because it’s vegan (so everyone can enjoy) and it has all the texture and flavor or a yummy, crispy parmesan crumble. Not to mention, this green bean recipe comes together in less than 30 minutes so that you can get busy doing other fun things!
Crispy Garlicky Green Beans
Ingredients:
1lb green beans
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup silvered almonds
1 teaspoon powdered garlic
1.5 tablespoon olive oil, divided
1 teaspoon salt, divided
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash green beans and snip ends if needed.
- In a food processor, process almonds, panko, garlic, together with 1/2 tablespoon olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Spread green beans on a sheet pan and coat with remaining olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Top with crumble mixture and back for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
