Upon the recommendation of my friend Claire Zinnecker, I went and tried out Kome. It’s not in my usual stomping grounds but close enough to my office so I went for lunch. The restaurant has a light and airy feel, perfect for lunch or a date.
One of the chefs, they are a married couple, used to work at Uchi, so you’ll definitely see some of that creativity coming through on the menu. They only serve ramen at lunch, FYI.
I loved all the cute little plates.
Love a good teapot. This is what they serve soy in.
This is the Spooky Roll. Spicy tuna with avocado and salmon. Highly recommend.
Surf and Turf Roll. This is a cooked roll if you have any diners that don’t enjoy raw fish.
Tempura shrimp, beef, candied jalapeƱo? This one is a winner!
Chicken-Katsura Teishko. Pretty much a grilled chicken salad… This was my non-raw-fish loving friends choice.
We even indulged in dessert at lunch. My partner in crime is a major sweet lover. This is the sake cheesecake with candied ginger, yum!
I hope y’all stop by Kome, it’s well worth it!
